    This is your opportunity to help transform one of Canada's largest and most trusted companies and join the Digital Customer Experience unit of Great-West Life. We operate like a start-up within one of Canada's largest insurance and financial institutions. We have just opened collaborative new offices in London and Toronto.

     

    We are looking for a bright and detail obsessed UX Architect to design multiple complex digital applications, sites, and tools and help deliver innovative and effective UX solutions for our end-to end digital customer experience.

     

    Based in Toronto or London, Ontario and reporting to the User Experience Lead, the UX Architect works with the Strategic Customer Marketing team to understand and analyze a person’s perceptions and responses that result from the use or anticipated use of a product, system or service.

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Collaborate with business partners, stakeholders and internal teams to help turn business requirements, user needs and creative strategy into engaging experiences
    • Create and effectively present UX deliverables (flows, sketches, wireframes, journey maps, prototypes, etc.) to stakeholders and teams
    • Assess data from multiple sources (UX research, SEO, product requirements, tech constraints, analytics) and synthesize it in order to develop efficient user scenarios, taxonomies, navigation systems, design patterns, etc.
    • Perform heuristic evaluation and task analysis
    • Quickly adapt to and integrate research results back into UX solutions
    • Support the strategic design of customer experience solutions through the entire lifecycle
    • Think in terms of patterns, components and systems to support cross-product design consistency
    • Stay current on emerging trends in user-centered methodologies, accessibility, UI design patterns, usability principles and web technologies
    • Work collaboratively with User Experience, Digital Customer Experience and Strategic Customer Marketing teams and act as an advocate for the user

     

    Job Qualifications:

    • In the process of completing relevant post-secondary education i.e. Digital Arts
    • A passion for digital products
    • Always thinking about the customer first
    • Desire to be a part of the transformation of a company and an industry
    • Visual thinker with a bias towards action
    • Some experience in digital design and UX
    • Past experience participating in user interface design as asset
    • Interest in technology and how to use it to create possibilities
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
